The Tie-a-yellow-ribbon: Tuloy ang Laban! Campaign is being introduced by Pagbabago! People’s Movement for Change to serve as a symbol of our collective consciousness as a people and the continuing struggle for democracy, truth, accountability, justice and genuine change in society.
The massive turnout of the people during former President Cory Aquino’s wake and funeral was not simply an outpouring of the people’s love and respect for the late President; it was also undeniably an expression of disgust with the current president Mrs. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. It clearly showed a disgruntled nation fed up with dishonesty, injustice, and the lack of integrity in government.
We come together as Filipinos who want to work for meaningful change in our country. We are tired of the decades of poverty, corruption, abuse of power, human rights violations, and the sellout of the dignity and sovereignty of our nation.
